Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 30th district since 2001, recently shared several statements on social media addressing national security concerns and weather conditions in Southern California. Schiff has been vocal about the qualifications of certain government appointees and local environmental issues.

On February 12, 2025, Adam Schiff expressed concerns regarding the confirmation of a new Director of National Intelligence. He emphasized the importance of appointing someone with appropriate judgment and credibility to maintain America's leadership globally. "At a time when our allies and adversaries are questioning America's leadership on the global stage, we cannot afford to confirm a Director of National Intelligence who lacks the judgment, qualifications, and credibility to lead."

Later that day, Schiff highlighted inconsistencies in testimony given by Kash Patel under oath. According to whistleblower reports mentioned by Schiff, Patel was involved in directing dismissals of FBI agents before his confirmation despite his earlier claims of unawareness. This revelation led Schiff to call for Patel's rejection from consideration. "Under oath, Kash Patel said he was unaware of plans to dismiss FBI agents before he was confirmed. Today, whistleblowers revealed Patel was reportedly directing those dismissals. Covertly. Yet another reason he must be rejected."

Additionally, on February 12th, Schiff addressed residents in Southern California regarding upcoming weather conditions. He warned them about significant rainfall expected over the next few days and provided information for preparation and safety measures. "Southern California – expect lots of rain over the next couple of days. Here's what you need to know."
