Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has recently raised concerns through a series of tweets about national security and educational policies under the Trump Administration. His remarks highlight potential risks and call for accountability on these critical issues.

On March 24, 2025, Schiff questioned the security of military communications within the Pentagon, expressing concern over the use of Signal chats for sharing sensitive information. He asked, "How many Signal chats with sensitive information about military operations are ongoing within the Pentagon right now? Where else are war plans being shared with such abject disregard for our national security? We need answers. Right now."

In a subsequent tweet on March 25, 2025, Schiff criticized the Trump Administration's handling of national security matters, stating that their approach endangers military personnel and operational success. He remarked, "Jeopardizing our national security. Putting the lives of pilots and the success of operations at risk — via text chat. The Trump Administration’s arrogance is only exceeded by its dangerous incompetence."

Later that day, Schiff addressed educational policy issues in another tweet. He accused the Trump Administration of illegal actions affecting schools and vulnerable students and announced his leadership in a Senate resolution aimed at safeguarding educational resources. He tweeted, "Schools, families, our most vulnerable students — no one is spared from the Trump Administration’s illegal actions attacking the Department of Education. I am leading the Senate resolution to protect our students from these destructive cuts to their education."
