Flu

Providence Tarzana Medical Center issued the following announcement on Nov. 4

Flu season is here again. With the coronavirus (COVID-19) still affecting thousands of people across the country, it's even more critical than ever that you protect your health. Even though you know the basics—get a flu shot, wash your hands, don’t skimp on sleep—it can be a little overwhelming to keep up with the latest recommendations and remember everything you need to know.

We can help with that. Here’s a roundup of everything you need to know to conquer this year’s rather unique flu season with less fuss and fewer sick days. You may want to bookmark this page so you can come back to it for reference.

The Providence flu resource hub

Providence has put together a web page that outlines all the basics you need for a healthier flu season. Whether you need links to primary care providers and same day care locations or a listing of flu symptoms and prevention tips, the info you need is available in one easy-to-access location.

The Providence superhero campaign illustrates the importance of getting your flu vaccine and includes an easy-to-understand list that lets you compare the symptoms of allergies, a cold, the flu or COVID-19.

Hear from our flu experts
