Cost of college went up for all students at the New York Film Academy

Tuition and fees rose 11.2 percent for 2018-19 at the New York Film Academy, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $31,438 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $3,178 more than the $28,260 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 63 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 85 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.1 million and 31 students took out student loans totaling more than $383,383.

Including all undergraduates (1,389), 630 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.1 million, and 209 students took out $1.6 million in federal student loans.
