Local cultural groups and organizations interested in celebrating Foster City’s diversity are invited to join the festivities at this year’s Holiday Tree Lighting. A maximum of four approved groups may host a table where they can set up a display and also enjoy the opportunity to showcase a cultural performance, dance, or demonstration during the event on the Lagoon Room Patio at the Recreation Center on Wednesday, December 14. The deadline to apply is Monday, October 31. For more information or an application to host a booth, contact Recreation Coordinator Oz Jimenez at (650) 286-3379 or ojimenez@fostercity.org.

The Holiday Tree lighting is an annual celebration that takes place along the Lagoon and Leo Ryan Park behind the Recreation Center at 650 Shell Boulevard. Traditionally the event has featured the Foster City community coming together to enjoy seasonal music, light refreshments, and a countdown to lighting the tree with festive illumination.  For more information about this year’s Holiday Tree Lighting event visit: https://www.fostercity.org/parksrec/page/tree-lighting-0
