Adam Schiff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district since 2001, recently shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Known for his legal and political career, Schiff has been active in addressing critical national matters.

On February 18, 2025, Schiff tweeted about gun control legislation. He stated: “Guns are the number one killer of kids in this country. But right now, in many states, a teenager can buy an assault-style weapon. I’m a cosponsor of the Age 21 Act to prohibit the sale or possession of assault-style weapons to those under 21. It’s just common sense.” This reflects his support for stricter regulations on firearm sales to minors.

Later that day, Schiff commented on developments within the Social Security Administration: “Another shoe drops. The acting commissioner of the Social Security Administration resigned after DOGE sought access to highly sensitive recipient information. Trump & Musk’s effort to steal your data and gut your hard-earned benefits continues. While the GOP remains silent.” His tweet suggests concerns over privacy and data security under certain political influences.

In another post from February 18, he expressed disapproval regarding funding cuts: “Cutting funding at a time when California and other states remain so vulnerable makes no sense. When disaster strikes again, we need to be prepared, not underfunded and understaffed.” This highlights his stance on maintaining adequate resources for disaster preparedness.
