Burbank, CA — On May 8, following the announcement of Deborah Robinson’s nomination to serve as White House Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator (IPEC), Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released the following statement:

“California is home to Hollywood and the heart of America’s creative industry, which contributes trillions of dollars to our economy and employs millions of Americans. Online copyright infringement and other IP theft poses a grave threat to creators. The IPEC serves an important role in protecting the intellectual property that is critical to preserving the film and television we all love. I applaud the Biden Administration’s decision to nominate Deborah Robinson to fill the IPEC role.”

Rep. Schiff previously sent a letter to the Biden Administration urging them to select Robinson for this critical position.
