Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, addressed healthcare concerns in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on September 26 and 27, 2025.
On September 26, Schiff posted: “Californians — don’t take medical advice from President Bleach. Trust your doctor.”
Later that day, he highlighted potential increases in health insurance costs for families if Congress does not intervene: “A family of four in Oceanside could pay $900 more A MONTH for their health plan if Congress doesn’t act. @RepMikeLevin and I are fighting to end Republican healthcare crisis and keep the government open.”
On September 27, Schiff reiterated his concern about rising healthcare expenses under Republican proposals: “If the GOP has it their way, an average family of four in Anaheim may be paying $11k/year more for their healthcare. That is unacceptable. Republicans need to come to the table, and work with us to stop a devastating increase in health insurance costs.”
Schiff has served as a member of Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held office in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960, Schiff resides in Burbank and holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
