Adam Schiff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district, recently shared his thoughts and experiences on social media. Schiff has been serving in Congress since 2001 after replacing James E. Rogan and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000.

On March 4, 2025, Adam Schiff reflected on his recent visit to San Diego and the Imperial Valley. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent these areas and shared his enthusiasm about returning soon. “What a weekend in San Diego and the Imperial Valley! Grateful to visit, proud to represent you, and excited to come back soon.”

Later that day, Schiff criticized former President Donald Trump’s trade policies, listing several items he believes will become more expensive as a result. He mentioned increased costs associated with buying homes, groceries, appliances, cars, energy bills, and starting businesses. He concluded with a sardonic remark on Trump’s characterization of these impacts: “Things that will get more expensive in America, thanks to Donald Trump’s trade war: Buying a home. Buying groceries. Replacing appliances. Fixing a car (or buying a new one). Paying an energy bill. Starting a business. Guess that’s what he’d call ‘fun for the whole family.'”

In another post made later on March 4th, Schiff questioned the notion of “winning,” likely referring again to policies or outcomes he finds unfavorable or exhausting: “If this is what ‘winning’ looks like — we’re definitely getting tired of it.”
