Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, has posted a series of tweets addressing issues ranging from the costs of military deployments to judicial accountability and agricultural policy.
On September 3, 2025, Schiff commented on a recent court decision regarding former President Donald Trump’s use of military forces in Los Angeles: “With a federal judge ruling Donald Trump’s misuse of our military in L.A. illegal, taxpayers deserve to know what this political theater cost them. The Pentagon originally said $134 million. That was for 2 months. It’s now undoubtedly even more than that. So @PeteHegseth – https://t.co/jdLdbMfkJ1”.
Later that evening, Schiff discussed his questioning of a judicial nominee about presidential immunity: “Today I asked a Trump judicial nominee if she believed the President could get away with murder and be immune from prosecution. Her answer was not no. https://t.co/XyEdfhIGNQ”.
The following day, September 4, Schiff announced progress on agricultural policy after advocating for more public input: “BREAKING: After @SenAmyKlobuchar and I demanded @USDA to give more time for input on their rushed and ill-conceived reorganization plan – they’ve agreed. As the number one agriculture producing state in the union, California farmers and families deserve a chance to be heard. https://t.co/zPdBKWTCel”.
Schiff has served as the congressional representative for California’s 30th district since 2001, after previously serving in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, he holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
