Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has raised concerns on social media regarding transparency in political donations and recent government actions. Schiff posted a series of statements on X (formerly Twitter) addressing issues related to donor disclosure, military operations, and immigration enforcement.
On November 3, 2025, Schiff questioned the motivations behind corporate contributions to a project associated with former President Donald Trump. He wrote, “What can these companies expect in return for their generous support for Donald Trump’s golden ballroom? This is exactly why I’m pushing the White House to release the full, unredacted list of the donors to this project.”
Later that day, Schiff addressed Congress’ notification about military action in the Caribbean. He stated on November 3, 2025: “In September, the administration gave Congress notice of the first strikes on boats in the Caribbean ‘consistent with the War Powers Resolution.’ Now, after 60 days, it says the Resolution does not apply, claiming that these strikes do not constitute hostilities. This is yet”
On November 4, 2025, Schiff commented on recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids and public statements from political figures. He posted: “Donald Trump said ICE raids haven’t gone far enough. Kristi Noem said no citizens have been detained in these raids. But we know the truth. Because we have story after heartbreaking story that proves otherwise. Listen to these brave Americans in their own words.”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
