Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has used his social media platform to voice criticism of the Trump administration and highlight issues regarding government transparency and public welfare.
On October 3, 2025, Schiff posted a tweet alleging that Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik was aware of Jeffrey Epstein’s activities. He wrote, “Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik knew Jeffrey Epstein was a creep, and called him ‘the greatest blackmailer ever’. Even Trump’s Cabinet isn’t buying DOJ’s claim that the only one on Epstein’s list was Epstein, or the administration’s justification for refusing to release the https://t.co/pC89PlRcOe”.
The following day, October 4, 2025, Schiff criticized President Donald Trump in relation to an ongoing government shutdown and health care policy. In his post he stated, “The American people deserve a President who is committed to ending this shutdown and keeping health care costs down. Instead, they have Donald Trump. https://t.co/fH33ZBF8lS”.
Later that same day, Schiff made another comment referencing political advocacy with a brief message: “Tells you everything you need to know about who is fighting for you https://t.co/hmcGHXiNzz”.
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and now residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
