Later on December 6, Schiff addressed concerns about industry changes affecting his constituency: “The proposed merger between two of Hollywood’s biggest players will have seismic impacts on the industry and the thousands upon thousands of workers that it supports across Los Angeles and California. As this deal is scrutinized, my North Star will be the hardworking Californians”.
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District since replacing James E. Rogan in Congress in 2001. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the California Senate from 1996 to 2000.
