Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has recently highlighted achievements in science and ongoing issues in healthcare through his social media posts.
On October 13, 2025, Schiff recognized the accomplishments of local academics by posting, “Congrats to @UofCalifornia professors and alumni for being awarded 5 Nobel Prizes! California’s scientists are leading the world in crucial breakthroughs.” He also shared a separate link shortly after, “https://t.co/U4PbcMdg8T”.
The following day, on October 14, 2025, Schiff addressed healthcare concerns by posting, “This is the face of the health care crisis in America. It’s what I’m fighting to change. https://t.co/SE3Zv6fwkb”.
Schiff has served as a representative for California’s 30th district since 2001, succeeding James E. Rogan. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960, Schiff is currently 62 years old and resides in Burbank. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1982 and later received a law degree from Harvard University in 1985.
