Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, addressed health care policy and media integrity in a series of posts on December 2, 2025.
In one post on that date, Schiff warned about potential consequences if certain tax credits are not extended: “Over the next 30 days, millions of people across the country will face an impossible decision: Forego health insurance or go into debt. If Republicans don’t extend health care tax credits by January 1, it will drive up costs for everyone.”
Later that day, Schiff commented on changes within Pentagon press operations: “Pete Hegseth removed respected journalists from the Pentagon, because he feared their willingness to publish the truth. Then he brought in only some of the nation’s most seasoned sycophants to take their place.”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th district in Congress since succeeding James E. Rogan in 2001. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
