Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of statements on November 7, 2025, addressing recent legislative actions and national issues.
On November 7, Schiff announced a bipartisan effort in the Senate to prevent military engagement with Venezuela: “BREAKING: @SenTimKaine, @SenRandPaul and I just forced a vote to block an unauthorized war with Venezuela. Even if it fell short, the vote was bipartisan and an important step. But the longer Congress refuses to act, the more we risk getting into a full-fledged war.” (November 7, 2025).
Later that day, Schiff commented on court orders regarding SNAP benefits during an ongoing government shutdown: “Donald Trump has been ordered by a court, again, to fund SNAP benefits. The law is clear. They have the funding. Donald Trump must stop forcing families to go hungry during his shutdown.” (November 7, 2025).
In another post on November 7, Schiff addressed economic concerns affecting Americans: “Americans are fed up with the high cost of living. And Republicans have a chance to do something about it. Time for them to work with Democrats to address the rapid rise in health care costs and end the shutdown.”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
