Trump’s tariffs are making it a lot more expensive,” he stated, mentioning specific items like beer, beef, and ice cream as examples of products affected by these price hikes.
Later that day, Schiff took a moment to reflect on the significance of Independence Day itself. In his message to the public, he emphasized the importance of remembering that freedoms are not automatically assured and require collective effort to maintain. “Happy 4th! As we celebrate our freedom today – we do so with the reminder that those freedoms are never free,” he remarked.
