Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, recently shared his views on various political issues through social media posts. Schiff, who has an extensive background in law and politics, addressed topics ranging from a recent speech by former President Donald Trump to the protection of Medicaid and funding for housing and homelessness.

On March 19, 2025, Adam Schiff expressed strong criticism of Donald Trump’s speech at the Department of Justice. In his post, he described the speech as “a breathtaking exhibit of mendacity,” emphasizing that “the lies were flying a mile a minute.” He provided further commentary on what he termed as some of the biggest falsehoods presented during the speech. “Donald Trump’s speech at the Department of Justice was a breathtaking exhibit of mendacity. The lies were flying a mile a minute.”

Later that day, Schiff turned his attention to healthcare issues. He stated his commitment to protecting Medicaid against perceived threats from Republican policies. He urged collective action by encouraging people to contact their congressional representatives and share personal stories about healthcare challenges. His call to action emphasized unity in opposing what he sees as an attack on healthcare by the GOP. “I’m fighting every day to protect Medicaid…We have to stop this GOP attack on our healthcare.”

On March 20, 2025, Schiff criticized policy conditions tied to housing and homelessness funding. He described such measures as “cruel and unwise,” particularly when linked to unrelated and regressive administration policies. He called for resistance against these practices that he believes are unjustly affecting vulnerable populations. “Conditioning housing and homelessness funding based on the administration’s unrelated and regressive policy positions is cruel and unwise.”
