Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, used his social media platform on November 3, 2025, to criticize former President Donald Trump’s policies and highlight recent legal action taken by California regarding food assistance programs.
In a post published at 18:36 UTC, Schiff wrote: “Donald Trump continues to fail on his core campaign promise to lower costs for families.
He would rather give giant tax cuts to corporations and billionaires than prevent people’s health care costs from going up.”
Later the same day at 21:10 UTC, Schiff addressed the issue of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits in California. He stated: “California sued to ensure millions of families don’t go hungry this week because of Donald Trump.
The court sided with us.
Now the administration must stop dragging its feet, follow the court order, and fully fund SNAP benefits before families go hungry.”

Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
