Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, used his Twitter account this week to criticize former President Donald Trump and Republican policies on inflation, redistricting, and confidential information.
On August 12, 2025, Schiff wrote: “Another month of rising inflation. Another month of no action from Trump to bring down your costs. Meanwhile, nonpartisan reports affirm that the Republican budget is only going make it harder to get by for those struggling the most.”
The following day, August 13, he posted: “Donald Trump is terrified of losing his majority in the midterms. His solution? Demand Republicans in Texas redraw the lines. If their partisan redistricting succeeds, California must respond. And we will.”
Later on August 13, Schiff addressed claims regarding confidential information: “Sorry, Donald. Wrong again. Even Barr’s Justice Department rejected that false smear years ago. But while we are the subject of confidential information, how about releasing those Epstein files? We are still waiting…”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District since 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff graduated from Stanford University in 1982 before earning a law degree from Harvard University in 1985.
