Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of tweets on November 8, 2025, criticizing actions taken by the Trump Administration and the White House.

In his first post at 01:30 UTC, Schiff stated, “The Trump Administration will go to any length — including appeal to the highest court in the land — if it means they can cut off food for hungry people. What is wrong with them?”

An hour later, at 02:30 UTC, Schiff commented on the Justice Department appointments: “This is what happens when Congress allows the President to appoint his criminal defense lawyers to run the Justice Department.”

Later that day at 20:21 UTC, Schiff addressed issues regarding transparency from the White House: “Now there are TWO lists the White House won’t release. First it was the Epstein Files. Now it’s who’s paying for Trump’s Golden Ballroom. Apparently, the only promises the President keeps are those that benefit himself and his billionaire friends.”

Schiff has been an active member of Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank. Schiff holds a BA from Stanford University (1982) and a JD from Harvard University (1985).
