Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has recently used his social media platform to criticize the Trump administration and address issues related to public service appointments and military conduct.
On December 6, 2025, Schiff posted about former President Donald Trump’s handling of political narratives, stating: “Donald Trump believes he can make his own truth through the repetition of lies. But from his gaslighting on January 6th, to his claims that affordability is a ‘Democratic hoax,’ the reality is becoming clear for all to see: He doesn’t care about the struggles of ordinary”.
The following day, December 7, Schiff commented on alleged unlawful appointments within the Trump administration. He wrote: “What do these three people have in common? They have all been found to have been illegally appointed by the Trump Administration to positions leading U.S. Attorney’s Offices around the country. We need real public servants in these jobs, lawful public servants, who are”.
Later that same day, Schiff addressed an incident involving violence at sea and called for transparency from military officials. He stated: “The killing of shipwrecked survivors at sea is a textbook violation of the laws of war. If Hegseth is so proud of the killing of these survivors, the Pentagon should release the full video, just like they have with other boat strikes. The American people deserve full”.
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
