Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of statements on November 13, 2025, criticizing actions by former President Donald Trump and the Department of Justice.
In a post made at 21:41 UTC, Schiff stated: “Another meritless attack on one of Donald Trump’s most effective opponents. Another terrible abuse of the Department of Justice. Another example of the president ignoring the affordability crisis and focusing on his petty personal grievances instead.”
Later that evening at 22:26 UTC, Schiff addressed legal actions related to redistricting maps in California and Texas: “Unlike Texas – California voters overwhelmingly approved of the new redistricting map. You’re suing the wrong state. Another day of two-tiered justice from Trump’s p̶e̶r̶s̶o̶n̶a̶l̶ ̶l̶a̶w̶y̶e̶r̶s̶ Justice Department.”
At 23:45 UTC, Schiff accused Trump of ongoing corruption and referenced proposed legislation: “Donald Trump’s corruption is not a bug of his presidency. It’s the defining feature. His latest attempt to secure a $230 million payout from the DOJ is just another terrible example. I’m introducing legislation to block this obscene money grab.”
Schiff has served in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held office in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank at age 62. Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
