Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, addressed health care policy and the conduct of a federal prosecutor in a series of posts on December 11, 2025.
In a post published at 14:51 UTC, Schiff stated, “Republicans have a choice today:
They can vote to extend health care for millions of Americans.
Or they can choose to raise health care costs on millions of Americans.
It’s really that simple.”
Later the same day at 20:29 UTC, Schiff commented on legislative developments regarding health care funding: “Well, there you have it.
Republicans knew their big funding bill — taking away billions from health care and giving it out in tax cuts for corporations — would spike health care costs for millions of Americans.
Now that we see premiums doubling, they refuse to do anything https://t.co/PUQUDJ34Dwhttps://t.co/b3JvCVous5“
At 21:33 UTC, Schiff turned his attention to Lindsey Halligan and the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Eastern District of Virginia (EDVA), writing: “Lindsey Halligan has turned the U.S. Attorneys office in the EDVA into a partisan tool of the president’s retribution campaign.
As a result, the legitimate work of that office has suffered, along with the rule of law.
Instead of seeking confirmation as U.S. Attorney, Halligan https://t.co/Isgmdd79Ws“
Schiff has represented California’s 30th district since succeeding James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, he holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
