Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, used his social media platform on October 10, 2025, to criticize Republican policies on health care and government operations.
In a post made at 1:40 AM UTC, Schiff stated, “The Republican agenda is making it impossible for people to afford their health care. And the consequences are dire. Don’t just take it from me. Take it from Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Californians like Samantha.”
Later that day, at 2:33 PM UTC, he questioned public figures about alleged misconduct: “Tom Homan won’t say if he took $50,000 cash in a bag from the FBI. Pam Bondi also wouldn’t answer. If he didn’t take the money, why not just release the tape?”
By 6:37 PM UTC, Schiff again criticized Republicans for their approach to governance and health care costs: “Instead of working with Democrats to protect health care and reopen the government, Republicans are continuing to double down on their strategy of inflicting maximum pain on the American people. More illegal firings will not save people from health care costs that are doubling,”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since 2001 after succeeding James E. Rogan. He previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000 and has lived in Burbank since his election to Congress. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960, Schiff graduated from Stanford University with a BA in 1982 and earned his JD from Harvard University in 1985.
