Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, posted a series of tweets on October 21, 2025, addressing immigration policy and referencing an incident involving the deportation of a parent of a U.S. servicemember.
In his first tweet at 14:50 UTC, Schiff wrote: “This is the reality of Donald Trump’s America. Another parent of a U.S. servicemember gets deported. On his way to pick up his pregnant daughter. While wearing his “Proud to be the father of a U.S. Marine hat.” This is cruelty as policy.”
Shortly after, at 14:50 UTC, Schiff posted a second tweet containing only a link: “https://t.co/sn0QYm0VWE”.
Later in the day, at 17:04 UTC, Schiff commented on another topic with the tweet: “Some metaphors just write themselves. https://t.co/vqIcYQ1Pul”.
