Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of tweets on April 15, 2026, criticizing the Department of Justice and speculating about potential candidates for Attorney General.
In one tweet dated April 15, 2026, Schiff wrote: “Nothing says “the interests of justice” like the DOJ moving to dismiss cases against white nationalist leaders who led attacks on police officers in an effort to overturn a free and fair election. Such a pitiful chapter in the history of the Department of Justice when there is https://t.co/DdiUdkPtlr”.
Later that day, Schiff posted two additional tweets. The first stated: “No way Trump should consider HER for next Attorney General… https://t.co/kA3Pa7JYkp”. In another tweet at the same time, he asked: “Is TODD BLANCHE our next Attorney General?! https://t.co/QrAWMlzxFc”.
Schiff has served in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held office in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
