Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, addressed several contentious issues in a series of posts on his social media account between December 19 and December 20, 2025.
On December 19, Schiff condemned remarks made by members of Congress regarding the Muslim faith. He wrote: “This week, members in both House and Senate denigrated the entire Muslim faith in words I will not repeat. This blatant prejudice is an affront to the religious tolerance and liberty our nation was founded on, and is an insult to the millions of Muslim Americans who have made” (December 19, 2025).
Later that evening, Schiff called for former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to testify before the Judiciary Committee about her actions related to legal proceedings. He stated: “Pam Bondi should come before the Judiciary Committee, under oath, and explain this willful violation of the law. The Trump Justice Department has had months to keep their promise to release all of the Epstein Files. Epstein’s survivors and the American people need answers now.” (December 19, 2025).
In another post dated December 20, Schiff commented on oversight surrounding sensitive documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein. He remarked: “POV: You put Donald Trump’s personal lawyers in charge of vetting the #EpsteinFiles.” (December 20, 2025).
Schiff’s comments come amid ongoing scrutiny over how government officials handle matters related to civil rights and high-profile investigations. Schiff has served as a member of Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in California’s 30th district in 2001; prior to that he was a state senator from 1996 through 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
