Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001 and a former member of the California Senate, has recently used his social media platform to comment on issues ranging from campaign finance reform to foreign policy and housing concerns.
On March 12, 2026, Schiff criticized the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision in a post: “The Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision has allowed billionaires and big corporations to have an outsized influence on our elections. Our democracy is paying the price. We must keep fighting to get big money out of politics, and restore power to the American people.”
Later that day, he commented on leadership changes in Iran with a reference to former President Trump: “Meet the New Ayatollah, son of the Old Ayatollah. Or as President Trump said when the war started — the worst case scenario for the U.S. and the Iranian people.” This statement reflects ongoing concerns about U.S.-Iran relations.
In another post dated March 12, 2026, Schiff addressed remarks attributed to “the President” regarding housing: “The President says, ‘No one gives a [bleep] about housing.’ He couldn’t be more wrong. Every day, Americans struggle to pay their mortgage, or their rent, or to purchase their first home. We care a lot about it. Even if he doesn’t.”
Schiff was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank at age 62. He graduated from Stanford University with a BA in 1982 and earned his JD from Harvard University in 1985.
