Adam Schiff, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district, has been vocal on social media about recent political developments. With a background in law and politics, Schiff has shared his views on several pressing issues through his Twitter account.
On June 17, 2025, Adam Schiff criticized the current administration for its decision to eliminate an office responsible for investigating billionaire tax evasion. He stated, “The billionaire tax cheat in the Oval Office just eliminated the office that goes after other billionaire tax cheats.” He further commented on the socioeconomic implications by saying, “Same old story. The get richer. And the little guy gets screwed.”
Later that day, Schiff addressed broader societal issues beyond state lines by emphasizing empathy and unity among people. In his tweet from June 17, he expressed solidarity with fellow Senator Alex Padilla: “This isn’t just about California. It’s about how we treat our fellow human beings.”
In another post dated June 18, Schiff turned his attention to judicial appointments under former President Donald Trump. He highlighted concerns over Trump’s selection for a Supreme Court Justice position: “Donald Trump has effectively already selected his next Supreme Court Justice.” He introduced Emil Bove as the nominee and expressed disapproval by stating, “And he’s just about as bad as it gets.”
Schiff’s statements reflect his ongoing engagement with national issues and underscore his legislative priorities as a representative of California since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001.
