Adam Schiff, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district, has been vocal on various issues through his recent tweets. Serving since 2001 after replacing James E. Rogan, Schiff has consistently engaged with constituents and addressed national concerns.
On May 15, 2025, Schiff criticized a decision by the Trump Administration to halt tracking the cost of climate-related natural disasters. He stated: “The Trump Administration decided to stop tracking the cost of climate-fueled natural disasters. Looking away from the destruction doesn’t make it any less damaging. Americans deserve transparency – I’m urging @NOAA to reverse this reckless decision.”
Later that day, Schiff shared about hosting a community event at the Capitol: “Hosting Californians for a morning coffee and Q&A here in the Capitol. Grateful, as always, to serve you and hear your hopes, thoughts, and concerns.” This reflects his ongoing efforts to connect with Californians directly.
In another tweet on May 15, he called for an investigation into insider trading within high levels of government: “This is why I called for an investigation into insider trading. The president and his closest advisors are getting rich off of their positions. While the rest of the country is struggling to afford the cost of living. We all deserve better.”
Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and now residing in Burbank, Adam Schiff graduated from Stanford University in 1982 and earned a JD from Harvard University in 1985. He served in the California Senate from 1996 until he began his tenure in Congress.
