Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has recently shared his thoughts and activities through a series of tweets. Schiff, who has an extensive political background including service in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000, used his platform to discuss various issues affecting his constituents and the nation.
On March 20, 2025, Schiff criticized the Trump Administration for what he described as an “illegal act” that would negatively impact schools. He stated that this action would lead to fewer resources for special education and teacher training. The congressman expressed concern over these cuts being made to fund a tax initiative. “Today’s illegal act by the Trump Administration will have disastrous consequences for our schools. It will mean less resources for special education, for teacher training, and for individualized attention to the learning needs of each child. That these cuts are made to fund a tax” (March 20, 2025).
Later that day, Schiff visited Altadena to observe debris cleanup efforts following recent events in the area. He praised the Army Corps of Engineers for their progress and commitment to staying ahead of schedule but acknowledged that more work remains. “Touring debris cleanup efforts in Altadena today… Great progress by the Army Corps of Engineers here on the ground. Ahead of schedule and determined to stay that way… Still so much more to do.” (March 20, 2025).
The following day, on March 21, Schiff commented on the future direction of the Democratic Party. He emphasized that regaining power requires being seen as effective in achieving results. “The path back to power for the Democratic Party is to be the party that gets shit done.” (March 21, 2025).
