Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, posted a series of statements on his social media account on November 20, 2025, addressing recent federal actions and political controversies.
On November 20, Schiff commented on former President Donald Trump’s decision to sign legislation concerning the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. Schiff stated: “Donald Trump just signed the bipartisan bill requiring the release of the Epstein Files. But this is no guarantee that the full files will actually be released. Rather we can expect this will begin a new Trump/Bondi effort at obstruction and coverup.” (November 20, 2025).
Later that day, Schiff expressed support for his congressional colleagues while criticizing remarks allegedly made by the president. He wrote: “Proud of my colleagues for their courage. Sickened that a president of the United States would declare them traitors, and call for violence against them. Having endured the same kind from the President, I know the dangers it causes. Everyone should condemn the President’s” (November 20, 2025).
In another post on November 20, Schiff addressed environmental policy regarding oil drilling off California’s coast: “Allowing Big Oil to drill off the coasts of California again will not deliver energy dominance. It will bring extreme environmental risks, and future disasters. California will fight this.”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since 2001 after serving in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He succeeded James E. Rogan in Congress and currently resides in Burbank. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960, Schiff is an alumnus of Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
