Adam Schiff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district since 2001, shared a series of updates on social media this week addressing immigration enforcement policies, community investments, and sports achievements.
On February 19, Schiff voiced concerns about federal immigration enforcement under the Trump Administration. In his post, he stated, “To meet the Trump Administration’s arbitrary arrest quotas and to fill their ever-expanding detention centers, they believe more heavily armed ICE and CBP agents are necessary. This is a threat to our cities and a threat to our democracy. The excessive and unaccountable use” (posted February 19, 2026).
Later that day, Schiff highlighted his recent visit to Guadalupe, California. He described how federal funding was supporting local projects: “This week I got to visit the beautiful city of Guadalupe and see firsthand how federal investments are improving people’s lives. Working with Sen. Padilla and Rep. Carbajal, I’m proud to have helped secure funding to upgrade Guadalupe’s early childhood education center and” (posted February 19, 2026).
On February 20, Schiff congratulated the U.S. Women’s Hockey team for their gold medal victory by posting: “Determination and heart made this team great. So proud of our U.S. Women’s Hockey team on bringing home the gold! “ (posted February 20, 2026).
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since succeeding James E. Rogan in 2001 after previously serving in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
