Adam Schiff, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 30th district, recently expressed his views on various political matters through a series of tweets. Schiff has served in Congress since 2001, after succeeding James E. Rogan, and has an extensive background in law and politics with degrees from Stanford University and Harvard University.

On January 29, 2025, Adam Schiff tweeted about the historical consequences of prioritizing violence over justice and law. He stated: “History is littered with the wreckage of nations whose leaders decided that violence for them was more important than justice. More important than the law, more important than the people.”

Later that day, Schiff addressed former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding pardons, describing them as a promise. He wrote: “Donald Trump’s pardons of insurrectionists were a promise:”

In another tweet on the same day, Schiff questioned the suitability of an unnamed individual for the position of FBI Director. He remarked: “This guy for FBI Director? Really?”
