Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, posted a series of statements on September 15, 2025, addressing concerns about alleged illegal propaganda purchases by the government and calling for whistleblowers to come forward.
In his first post, Schiff encouraged individuals with relevant information to reach out: “If you have information about other illegal propaganda purchases, my office wants to hear from you. Whistleblowers can report directly to Congress.” (September 15, 2025)
He continued by criticizing the alleged use of taxpayer funds for propaganda purposes: “Let’s be clear: this is not normal. It’s not lawful. And it’s not democratic. It’s propaganda – paid for with your money. We are demanding answers, accountability, and a full halt to this abuse of taxpayer funds.” (September 15, 2025)
Schiff also warned about the gradual erosion of democratic norms and referenced visual displays in government buildings: “Democracy doesn’t disappear overnight – it is vanishes day by day, one lawless act after another. Oversized portraits on government buildings may look like vanity. But they are also a warning. We must take it seriously.” (September 15, 2025)
Adam Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in the U.S. Congress since 2001 after succeeding James E. Rogan and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
