Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, recently addressed several issues on his Twitter account, ranging from accusations against Dr. Oz to the celebration of Black History Month and criticism of former President Donald Trump.
On February 2, 2026, Schiff posted about comments made by Dr. Oz concerning the Armenian American community: “Dr. Oz’s demonization of the Armenian American community is a terrible slander. I am demanding an independent review of his clearly discriminatory motive in pushing these smears against the Armenian community.”
In another post on February 3, 2026, Schiff highlighted the significance of Black History Month: “This month, we celebrate the profound legacy and impact Black history and Black Americans have had on California, the United States, and the world. The censors in the administration may try to erase our history, or diminish the achievements of Black Americans — all the more”
Later that day, he commented on what he described as repeated misinformation from former President Trump: “Ever feel like the President is repeating the same lies over and over again? In the spirit of Groundhog Day, let’s look at the lies and hare-brained schemes that Trump has been pushing since his first term.”
Schiff has served in Congress since 2001 after replacing James E. Rogan and previously held a seat in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank at age 62, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
