Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has used his social media platform to address several national issues and express support for colleagues. In a series of posts on December 8, 2025, Schiff criticized public figures and discussed legislative actions in the Senate.
On December 8, 2025, Schiff called for action against Pete Hegseth, stating: “Pete Hegseth should be fired. He put American pilots at risk of physical harm by texting the timing and location of air strikes on the Houthis. And he put our service members at risk of legal liability by ordering illegal strikes in the Caribbean, dragging us closer to a war no”.
Later that day, Schiff addressed upcoming legislative efforts regarding health care costs: “This week, Senate Democrats will force a vote on our plan to avert massive increases to health care costs that will begin on January 1st. This is the last chance for Republicans in Congress to help stop these devastating price hikes. Will they stand with us? Or just keep”.
In another post from December 8, Schiff expressed solidarity with an individual named Andy: “Andy, we have gone through this in our family. Thank you for speaking so eloquently for millions of Americans. We are with you.”
Schiff has served as a member of Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held office in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
