Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing recent political developments and honoring Veterans Day.
On November 10, 2025, Schiff commented on former President Donald Trump’s pardons related to the January 6th events: “First, Trump pardoned the violent insurrectionists who beat cops. Now, he pardons the key instigators of January 6th. We need to see this for what it is: An attempt to erase history, so it can be repeated.”
Later that day, Schiff addressed a recent legislative agreement and its impact on health care costs: “Last night’s so-called deal was a tragically disappointing result for the millions of Americans who are facing higher health care costs next year, and for our efforts to confront this bully of a President. I voted no. Let’s talk about where we go from here.” This statement reflects ongoing debates in Congress regarding healthcare affordability and executive leadership.
On November 11, 2025, Schiff marked Veterans Day with a message recognizing service members: “On Veterans Day, we pause to honor the sacrifices and unwavering commitment of the men and women who have served in our nation’s Armed Forces. I have had the chance to visit so many of them at home and abroad, and they are the best fighting force in the world. Thank you to all”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since 2001 after serving in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank. Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
