Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of statements on social media addressing recent political tensions and actions by government officials.
On October 11, 2025, Schiff wrote, “The president has made no secret of his enemies list. But we will not be intimidated. We will not be deterred. We will do our jobs and continue fighting back against these attempts at retribution.” In a follow-up post on the same day, he addressed Republican colleagues directly: “And to my GOP colleagues who believe they are immune from Trump’s personal vindictiveness: know that he has no ideology except himself, and you are next.”
The following day, October 12, Schiff criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s conduct in the Senate: “Attorney General Pam Bondi’s personal mudslinging turned the Senate into a circus this week. If Republicans in Congress do not demand that our nation’s top law enforcement officer respect legitimate oversight requests, there is no telling what further harms this Justice”
Schiff has served in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held office in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
