Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on March 13 and 14, 2026.
On March 13, Schiff expressed condolences following the deaths of six service members aboard a military aircraft: “My heart is broken for the families and loved ones of the six brave service members who have lost their lives aboard the U.S. KC-135. Our prayers are with their families.”
Later that day, Schiff commented on recent legal developments affecting the President’s campaign: “Another major ruling, another major blow to the President’s campaign of legal retribution.”
On March 14, Schiff criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to offshore oil drilling in California: “Donald Trump is using the Iran war as an excuse to restart offshore oil drilling in California at the sites of previous devastating oil spills — something he’s been laying groundwork to do since his first day back in office. Californians do not want more drilling off our coasts”
Schiff has served in Congress since 2001 after replacing James E. Rogan and previously held a seat in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank. Schiff graduated from Stanford University with a BA in 1982 and earned his JD from Harvard University in 1985.
