Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing international conflict, a congressional hearing, and planned legislative action.
On October 7, 2025, Schiff reflected on the two-year anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, stating, “Today marks two years since Hamas launched a horrific and unprovoked mass terrorist attack on Israel, killing nearly 1,200 civilians. Since the darkest day in Israel’s history, we have continued to see civilians bear the brunt of this conflict. The remaining Israeli hostages”.
Later the same day, Schiff commented on Attorney General Pam Bondi’s appearance before the Judiciary Committee. He wrote, “Attorney General Pam Bondi came before the Judiciary Committee today. But she refused to answer a raft of important questions. On Tom Homan’s bribe. On Donald Trump’s new luxury plane. On January 6th pardons. On illegal strikes in the Caribbean. On Jeffrey Epstein.”
On October 8, 2025, Schiff announced forthcoming legislative action regarding military operations in the Caribbean Sea. He stated, “Tomorrow, I, along with @SenTimKaine will be forcing a vote to block President Trump’s use of our Armed Forces to conduct strikes against vessels in the Caribbean Sea. Congress has not authorized these strikes. They are illegal and risk dragging America into another war.”
Schiff, who was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank, has a long history in public service, including a tenure in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He holds degrees from Stanford University (BA, 1982) and Harvard University (JD, 1985).
