Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has recently shared his perspectives on various issues through social media. Schiff, who replaced James E. Rogan in Congress and has a background in law from Harvard University, addressed concerns regarding the Department of Justice (DOJ), court proceedings related to January 6 events, and travel rights during Thanksgiving.

On November 25, 2024, Adam Schiff expressed disappointment with the Department of Justice and the court system for their handling of the January 6 investigation. He stated that “The Justice Dept and the court system failed to uphold the principle that no one is above the law.” He criticized DOJ’s delay in investigating these events and accused courts of delaying progress by providing immunity.

Two days later, on November 27, 2024, Schiff criticized another decision by DOJ regarding former President Trump. He noted that “The DOJ erred in dismissing the case against Trump.” Although this dismissal was without prejudice—allowing for refiling post-term—Schiff argued it disrupts legal continuity and complicates justice.

On the same day, Schiff also commented on holiday travel amid Thanksgiving celebrations. He highlighted essential traveler rights by advising people to be informed about what they can expect while traveling. He urged travelers to know their entitlements such as refunds for delays or fee-free seating with children: “Millions are taking to the skies for Thanksgiving travel this week.”
