Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, has addressed a range of issues in recent social media posts, including the impact of the Iran War on global politics and agriculture, as well as concerns about federal government spending.
On March 13, 2026, Schiff wrote: “There are few people in the world who have derived more benefit from our war with Iran than the Russian dictator, Vladimir Putin. We explain why: https://t.co/EJd7sZpqnT”.
Later that day, he commented on former President Donald Trump’s financial demands: “Donald Trump is demanding billions in personal payoffs from the federal government. It’s taking abuse of taxpayer dollars to a whole new level. My Corruption Clawback Act would ensure that the government can get that money back when he leaves office.”
In another post on March 13, Schiff discussed his role on the Agriculture Committee and highlighted challenges facing California farmers: “I’m proud to serve on the Agriculture Committee and to represent so many California farmers. The Iran War and tariffs are causing untold harm to the industry. The President needs to hear their concerns. https://t.co/VbNPhK7VuZ”.
Schiff has served in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001 and previously held a seat in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
