Adam Schiff, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues of corruption, international elections, and foreign policy.
On April 13, 2026, Schiff wrote: “Step one in creating a culture of corruption and lawlessness? Promise impunity.”
The following day, on April 14, he commented on political developments in Hungary: “Voters in Hungary just dealt a massive blow to its longtime wannabe dictator. Why you should care about this election halfway around the world, and what it means for fighting autocracy here at home.”
Later that same day, Schiff addressed ongoing U.S. military actions abroad: “Make no mistake, Trump’s illegal war on Iran is continuing.”
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since replacing James E. Rogan in 2001. Prior to his tenure in the House of Representatives, he served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently residing in Burbank, Schiff holds degrees from Stanford University (BA) and Harvard University (JD).
