Adam Schiff, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 30th district since 2001, posted a series of statements on social media addressing international conflict, domestic politics, and the state of American democracy.
On October 9, 2025, Schiff commented on developments regarding a conflict resolution framework, stating, “I’m encouraged by the framework reached to release the remaining hostages, end hostilities, surge humanitarian aid, and bring this war closer to its overdue end. Later that day, Schiff criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to governance and social programs, posting on October 9, 2025: “This is Donald Trump demonstrating again, why he is only interested in representing half of the county. On October 10, 2025, Schiff responded to recent legal actions against political opponents, writing, “Another dark day for our democracy. Another vindictive prosecution of someone on the president’s enemies list. Another terrible abuse of the Justice Department as an instrument of Trump’s retribution campaign. These actions cannot and will not deter Americans from standing up”.
Schiff has represented California’s 30th District in Congress since 2001 and previously served in the California Senate from 1996 to 2000. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts in 1960 and currently resides in Burbank. Schiff graduated from Stanford University in 1982 and earned a JD from Harvard University in 1985.
